Zynk Design is designing the Bitta BJJ Ju Jitsu project in Abu Dhabi, in honour of Master Bitta.

The brief is a modern dojo that also works as a premium community clubhouse. Working closely with the client, we have developed an environment that balances strength, discipline and performance with warmth, calm and connection.

The design takes its identity from the distinctive light of Abu Dhabi. The warmth and intensity of the desert sun is reflected in the signature orange of the Ju Jitsu brand and carried through the interiors. Natural light is central, illuminating the training mats and giving the space energy, focus and clarity. Grounded architectural forms, warm natural materials and considered minimalism keep it powerful and welcoming at once.

The recovery zone shifts the mood. Rich terracotta tones, dark timber and a layered material palette create a quiet, luxurious atmosphere, with soft, dimmable lighting for comfort and restoration. Lighting is designed for each part of the club: bright and controlled for training, warm in the community areas, soft and immersive in recovery.
