Definition Gyms has appointed Zynk Design to design its new 10,000 sq ft gym in Kent.
Definition is an independent premium gym brand built around three things: equipment, facilities and community. Its clubs are serious training environments where members feel part of something, and the new site is intended to carry that further.
Our brief is a high-performance, premium training environment that reflects the Definition brand and puts the member experience at the centre of every decision. Zynk is developing the interior architecture and design across the whole gym, from spatial planning, training zones and equipment integration through to materiality, lighting, branding and the customer journey.
A gym of this size lives or dies on how the floor is zoned. Ten thousand square feet is enough to give strength, conditioning and recovery their own territory without members crossing each other’s space, and that separation is the first thing we will be resolving. It is the same thinking behind and the work at , another independent brand that wanted a training floor to feel like a destination.
