Padel Club Design for booming new racquet sport
The Padel club has committed to building numerous leisure clubs across the UK in response to the growing enthusiasm for the sport. Their brand ethos is to provide inclusive access, helping to facilitate participation from all skill levels.
Our partnership with The Padel Club began by establishing a strong brand identity for their brand. We needed to compliment their core values of community and competitiveness, which was to be reflected throughout all of their future clubs.
Following this, zynk Design were briefed in padel club design for the new Trafford City and Gloucester Quays venues.
The twelve high-specification padel courts were strategically laid out to optimise space and functionality. Ten sheltered courts and two outdoor courts offer year-round playing.
State-of-the-art Sports LED lighting illuminates each court, guaranteeing optimal visibility for players during evening sessions. Thoughtful placement of seating areas surrounding the courts maximises the viewer experience, providing comfortable spots for spectators to enjoy matches and tournaments.
Adhering to brand guidelines, the clubhouse embodies the ethos of inclusivity, social engagement, and fun while upholding high standards of quality and professionalism. The design embraces a modern aesthetic in line with the brand’s identity, offering a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Extensive indoor and outdoor seating areas serve as hubs for fostering player camaraderie post-matches, creating a strong sense of community central to the brand’s values. The layout encourages social interaction and networking among players, members, and visitors, strengthening the club’s identity as a social hub.
By intertwining the practicality of court design with the social elements of the clubhouse, the proposed solution creates a harmonious space that caters to the needs of both players and the community, ensuring a holistic and fulfilling experience for all involved.
Our design has been created with an emphasis on social interaction, competition, and community that caters to different aspects of the sport and its social culture. At the heart of the facility will be the courts themselves, designed to meet professional standards, ensuring an optimal playing experience for all skill levels. The main competition court is furnished with mini ‘grandstand spectator seating’, allowing friends, family, and community members to watch games comfortably. This setup fosters a sense of excitement and support, crucial for both casual matches and intense competitions.
Beyond the courts, the facility will feature a spacious and inviting ‘clubhouse’ area, serving as the social hub. This clubhouse zone includes comfortable seating, casual work area, retail display as well as the café bar serving hot and cold refreshments, all acting as the heart of the facility where players can socialise and relax.
