Rise Brentwood: Strength, Wellness, Community
The Client
RISE Gym is a fast-growing, design-led fitness brand with two successful sites already operating in Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City.
At its heart, RISE is a strength and conditioning gym, but it goes far beyond the conventional. Designed to inspire through both aesthetic and atmosphere, each site blends high-performance fitness with wellness experiences that support the mind and body.
The next step in RISE’s journey is Brentwood, an ambitious new flagship location that builds on the brand’s identity and further develops its commitment to design, community, and holistic wellbeing.
The Brief
zynk were engaged to bring the RISE vision to life in a brand-new site in Brentwood, a bold, industrial-inspired fitness space designed to appeal to both men and women seeking a premium gym experience outside of London.
The brief included a complete renovation of an existing health club, reimagining the gym floor, redesigning the studios and pool area, and introducing an entirely new outdoor wellness concept.
The client wanted to push the boundaries of what a regional gym could offer, blending traditional training with next-generation wellness, recovery and social interaction.
The Solution
zynk’s design for Brentwood builds on RISE’s signature industrial aesthetic, while introducing new spatial experiences that reflect the evolution of the brand.
The gym itself is fully reconfigured to enhance flow, training functionality and visual impact. Surrounding the main space, dedicated zones for spin, yoga and HiiT are reimagined to feel immersive, atmospheric and brand-consistent.
A key addition is the café-lounge, designed as a social hub to encourage interaction and community beyond the workout – supporting RISE’s mission to create more than just a place to train.
In response to the growing demand for recovery and holistic health, the wellness offer has been elevated to include saunas, ice baths, steam room, experience showers and a dedicated outdoor spa, all designed to support both physical regeneration and mental wellbeing.
The outdoor wellness and fitness area is a standout feature – combining open-air training with spa elements to create a distinctive environment that embraces nature and pushes the RISE identity forward.
Brentwood is more than a new site, it’s a statement of intent. A place to train, to recover, to connect. A place to rise.
